2013 will be the 40th anniversary of The Timberland Company!

Timberland will be celebrating its 40 year anniversary with a special limited re-launch of Timberland apparel and a very creative new advertising campaign! Below are excerpts from their press release.

STRATHAM, NH – December 20, 2012 — Since the introduction of its iconic “yellow boot” in 1973, Timberland has evolved from a New England boot maker to a global leader in sustainable fashion and apparel. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of this icon, Timberland will launch a creative new advertising campaign that captures the essence of the brand Timberland has become today – from the rugged simplicity at its core to the trend-right, ever-growing collection of eco-conscious footwear and apparel, Earthkeepers®.

A commercial will air nationally on networks including Adult Swim, Comedy Central, ESPN, G4 and NBC beginning in October 2013. Additionally, Timberland will support the new campaign with an integrated marketing program in celebration of its 40th anniversary including print, out-of-home and digital advertising, public relations and social media.

The Earthkeepers® Collection merges eco-conscious innovation with on-trend design and performance capabilities. For Fall 2013, Timberland offers Earthkeepers® footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and kids. Classic silhouettes with a modern twist like the Earthkeepers® Heritage Rugged LTD for men, and heeled boots like the Earthkeepers® Trenton Waterproof Tall Boot for women will keep consumers on the forefront of fashion. Classic leather jackets with crafted accents, like the Earthkeepers® Tanner Bomber for men, create a look that’s on-trend and comfortable. The new Fall 2013 collection will be available at select retailers, Timberland specialty stores and online at www.timberland.com beginning in September 2013.
